A Little About Me
I come from the small village of Alles-sur-Dordogne, in the south west of France. Growing up in a country where food is woven in the culture of daily life and in a family of amazing cooks, I have always been passionate about making and enjoying good food, which is why I decided to become a chef.
I am blessed to have always been surrounded by beautiful fresh produce that has come straight from the farm, and this has given me an immense respect for food quality and also for those who dedicate their lives to bringing us the best the Earth can produce.
A Little About Le Fermier
Even though I now call Australia home, and love the lifestyle this beautiful country has to offer, I miss the European attitude to food. For those who don’t have European heritage it could be summarised as follows: Where there’s family, there’s food, and where there’s food, there’s family. I don’t just mean that food is something you prepare because you have family around, but rather that sharing food is the purpose of having family around. And, putting love into the food you share with your loved ones is considered a way of showing them how much you love them.
That’s what Le Fermier is all about.
It’s taking amazing produce from the people who’ve lovingly produced it, making something delicious from it with your own hands and effort, and sharing it with those you love (friends, family or even yourself!), to enjoy.
